Loving What is Good Women's One Day Conference

Tooher gives an overview of chapter 1 to provide context for chapter 2. She focuses on the instructions for women, but also briefly looks at the passages for men and slaves. Tooher explains that the overall instructions are for self-control for all of these groups.

Chapel talk on Titus 2 delivered by Philip Kern in 2000.

Kern speaks on the appearance of grace in the coming of Jesus from Titus 2. He stresses that the grace of God has a message for everyone. He explains that anarchy doesn't work. 1. The gospel teaches us to deny godliness and worldly passions, and instead to live upright and godly. 2. Our actions show the value of the gospel.

Fifth in a series of five talks in a series about how we view ministry by David Peterson. He explores our motivation for godly living, including our confidence in the gospel and the desire to model the gospel to those around us.

The lost gospel - Titus 2:11-14

Chapel talks 2000

Kern explores what it means to represent or adorn someone, stressing that we are representing and adorning Christ. He expounds the principles and motivations in the instructions given to slaves in Titus 2:11-14. Kern explains that we are able to do this because we are living for God's glory. Kern examines what hope meant in the first century, thus showing the difference in Paul's teaching in Titus. He looks at how we should be living while we wait for the return of Christ. Kern challenges the audience to be excited for and long for the return of Christ.
